A group of old members (OMs) of Reitaku University English Drama Group performed “Pelleas & Melisande” by Maurice Maeterlinck in the university Small Theatre on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009. It was directed by Gavin Bantock and Merwyn Torikian. Of the twenty members in the cast, six were over fifty years of age and six more over forty—a unique gathering of R.U.E.D.G. OMs on stage together. The youngest in the cast was ten years old. Another was a graduate of Meitoku International Players (which G. Bantock also directs). Included among the actors were the President of Reitaku University and the Headmaster of Reitaku High School. The title roles were acted by recent graduates of the university.
