murdered to get revenge on her unfaithful husband Jason (standing left).

One of the greatest and most awe-inspiring classics of ancient Greek drama.
The terrifying and heart-rending story of Medea, a powerful woman whose husband Jason has betrayed her and taken another wife.
To get her revenge on Jason, Medea uses magic arts to destroy Jason’s new wife and her tyrannous father, King Creon of Corinth.
In a horrifying and blood-curdling climax, Medea takes her revenge one ghastly step further, committing an unspeakable crime, which renders both Jason and herself childless and dishonoured.
The highly-charged emotion of the drama is observed and further enhanced by a classical, stylistically choreographed chorus of Corinthian women and a Messenger who delivers the fatal news.
