From 1969 to 1986, GB was Advisor to Reitaku E.S.S. and developed its activities in numerous ways, directing modern dramas, and supervising Sophomore Shows (dramas), Variety Shows, Speech Contests for the President’s Cup and the Bantock Cup, a Joint Speech Contest with the Tokyo University of Science, Discussions, Formal Debates, Junior Recitations & Seniors’ Shows, one-act “Chekhov” comedies, and Summer and Winter Camps. In 1982, GB directed the making of a two-and-a-half hour documentary film on the history of E.S.S. from its beginnings in 1935.
